problem with side lock mech of roll cab.. vintage

Post by AJC »

Hi Folk

Anyone know how to make these things work correctly after reconstruction in renovation process? I can't get it to work properly with the side wall in its correct place. It CAN work ,because I've done it,but as soon as the cab is built up again the thing jams.

Anyone know the secret?

Regards and Thanks

Some have suggested there may be a spring missing, which makes a lot of sense.
Would anyone here have a roll cab like this one with the lock on the right side?
Be great to hear from you

I have now sorted out the problem with the locking bar.
Tried everthing, but I just took the studs off the bar, unscrewed them ,and put them back.
Now works like it should. A spring, wasn't' required ,like I thought it it may have done.

This may be helpful if someone else works on a side locking roll cab.
