Owners Marks
I haven't found much on this subject. I think owners marks reduce the value of the tool. Maybe not as much as 50%, but definitely somewhere in the 35 to 40% range. What does everyone else think?

Re: Owners Marks

I'm looking at 60's, 70's and 80's. Do you consider that a newer tool?

Re: Owners Marks
I think when it comes to is it made anymore, you have to take what you can find. Newer and still made is easier to come by so I have no problem holding out for a better deal. But I will always try to get the ones with no markings on them. Each situation is different, I was looking for the larger standard line wrenches that are not made anymore and I had a choice of looked almost new but had owner name carved in it, or old with chrome chipped but no markings, I still took the old one because I don't want to see names on it. So for me I think the owners names cuts value ALOT and half is not out of the question.
