Beautiful !!!
Friction slides - the late '38 through?? @ mid '40 didn't have them. The drawers were set upon individual trays on the first ones.
Stamped alloy handles - after 40 also, some are high carbon, others have more zinc. The early ones had bakelite handles.
The bling trim - before '42, no bling after that until '46, though some of the hospital ones in white may have had it throughout.
That narrows it down some.
