This may be more of a applications question than a tool question. My grandfather had 9/16 deep socket marked for spark plugs only. I also read on ths site that there were spark plug sockets 9/16 to 1 inch in 1941 . Does anyone have any idea what cars tool such a wide range of spark plugs? Thank you
Electricity wasn't everywhere and there were stationary engines doing the work. Along with agricultural and industrial equipment. Maytag built a washing machine with a spark plug and kick start.
