I have a question about the CX1820 that I inherited from my late Dad. It is marked Blue Point and I think the date code is 1946 (or 1949.) The catalog images in this site show the CX1820 marked as Snap-On. Was there a change-over date, or were both made at the same time?

Re: CX1820 Question
looks like a 46
They started the name change from blue point to snap on in about 48, continued until maybe the early 60s. seems like most of it was 48-to about 56.
Nice to have your dad's tools, I have some too.
