R1618 pair, Which is Which?

R1618 pair, Which is Which?

Below is a pair of R1618 that I own. One was my late Dad's while the other was mine. Mine would be newer. Unfortunately I can't tell which is which any more. Are there ways to date these?

This chart will show you the date codes, but you can also go by the font of the lettering. Let us know if you can't find any of these date codes?

Hello Bill,

I would say that the upper wrench in the pic is your father's, because it only has a patent number on it.
Newer wrenches have the WARNINGS on them because of this litigation crazy society we now live in !!
