snap on vintage drawer runners 8-457

Post by billybudge »

Hi,
I have had a chance to but 2 vintage top cabinets, both snap on, both the same,
I was looking for a date reference, I have been told the manufacturing dates of SNAP ON tool cabinets is stamped on the drawer runners, ?,
and in the past this has been true, however on these 2 boxes there is no date stamp only 8-457
HOW OLD ARE THEY,

There are no dates or stamps on the K and KR series. There are stickers, stampings and maybe other marks on the KRA series. I would look on the back - right - top.

For most older boxes, the design puts them into a date range

Help this helps

The KRA boxes have manufacturer date codes on the roller bearing drawer slides. At least my KRA-2411 box does. Has 2007 dates on it, which is when I bought it.
