Snap-on S 5925A socket

Post by ToolDog »

Wing-nut socket? Radiator petcock socket?
No date code on socket.
In 1990 Snap-on was using Thexton for their Petcock socket, & I can't find it in 1987 Cat.
Any ideas?

Wow that's really cool! I came across this thread via google. I have been searching for one of these clutch adjusting sockets. I drive a 1964 Vintage Volkswagen. If you would have any consideration at all to sell the socket I'd be interested. The location of the clutch adjustment wingnut is a little difficult to access for a guy like me with big arms and this socket is great. I don't know why anyone does not make it for the vintage car crowd. I found that Snap-On also made a great tool for opening up the transaxle plugs for the VW also. Really digging the scanned catalogs here.
