MT418 tach/dwell meter leads question

Hi,
New member here.
Just picked up a MT418 tach/dwell meter and is currently in transit to me. The lead (with the yellow boot) has cracking insulation and needless to say, is unsafe for usage.
Wondering what I can use for replacement? Is this a special wire (i.e., low impendance or other)?
This forum appears to be a great resource, btw.
Thanks,
Chris
