Good Morning fellow collectors from a new guy on this great site. I would like to know if anyone has instructions for the MG-1 valve stem micrometer from the 1930's.The catalog description is a little vague
about how you end up with an accurately ground valve stem tip after gauging the depth from the seat to the tappet. I'd love to get one but would try to make one if they really work.

Thank you for any ideas.

after you grind the seat [ford engines, flat heads] you set the gauge against lifter and valve seat remove from block subtract
valve lash and set the stem grinder on your refacer grind stem
