I too have a KRH-300B and it is dated 1956 with no electrical but the box in the back.

It's working out fine. Even tho this box has a larger footprint then my old Beach, I was surprised to notice there is less room in this roller. Due in part to the shallower drawers because of the space required to contain and operate the roll front door.. I like it anyway ....
