I am trying to identify the year of manufacture for my Snap On tool chest that my grandfather passed down to me. I have looked at the entire box and cannot find any stamped model or serial numbers on it anywhere. By looking on the Internet and comparing the box features to others, I think it may be somewhere in the 40's, but not really for sure. Any help with this would be appreciated, pictures are attached.

I have no idea what year this was made, but I think it looks great. Looks like someone used this everyday for a long time.

Thanks snapmom, after some digging through the old catalogs on the site, this box was advertised in the 41-48 catalogs..
Bcedrone, yes it was used for a very long time. My grandfather bought this box brand new, and used it along with several others in his personal auto repair shop for many years. Once he retired and began traveling with his camper, this was the only box he was able to keep and fit into his suburban.
