Hello,
I'm new to this site but it looks great! My question is I have an old Snap-On 1/2" speeder with a palm style end # A-2003. I was wondering if it can be dated and approximate value. Thanks in advance
I'm adding that there is a US Pat. 1,764,690 on the Knob handle. I think i added some pictures! Thanks

Many of the tools have date codes on them, that will get you to the production year. Here's a chart:

They are an industrial speeder. Some have wood knobs, some have metal. It may or may not have a date code. Hard to find, but not to high of demand. They were made 30s thru 60s, maybe 70s

Thank you everyone for your replies. I need to add that I have looked at the whole tool with a magnifying glass and cannot find a date code but I did find a H inside a triangle on the plug that holds the socket lock pin in. I traced this down to the Herbrand Corp. which they first used on 01/01/1908, they filed this trademark on 08/07/1918, and it was registered on 04/27/1920 and it was Used on wrenches, screwdrivers, and hammers. The patent #1,764,690 was issued on 6/17/1930 to the Blackhawk Mfg. Co. (inventor Edward M. Pfauser) both from Milwaukee, Wi. So what I am kind of thinking is this tool is from the 30's or 40's. Also every speeder I have found online from after WW2 and have the spinning middle handle do not have the knob on top, they have a more cylindrical type handle! How wrong am I in thinking this? I appreciate any and all replies. I really am glad I have found this site!

Hello snapmom again thank you for the info! I went to the catalog section, by the way is way cool, and now that I know that my speeder is industrial I found the last listing in the 1954 catalog and the earliest I found was 1937! So since I cannot find a date code, and I had 2 other people with better eyes look, I'll never know exactly how old it is. At least I know that it's at least 55 years old as the 1963 catalog doesn't list the A-2003! Thank You to everyone out there that helped!
