F7 ratchet 1930

I picked up this f7 with the wide selector and a 1930 date code. It is not working because the springs are missing. Has anyone tried to fix one of these, or perhaps sourced the springs? Also wondering about part number. I have seen them with the f70 and f7 designations and sure what difference was.

some collectors have made them with piano wire. not sure what this one looks like, maybe a heart shape.

Looks like 2 springs, when installed looks like a heart shape according to a pic I found online.

Fixed! Got an assortment of springs from harbor freight, then cut off a piece of one. Bent into a long c shape like one end of a paper clip. Bent one end down 90 degrees at the end of radius, then down 90 degrees again maybe an 1/8" past other end of radius. Then make another one exactly like it but flipped the other way, like it's mirror image. When installed they form a heart shape, there is a picture of one with cover off on the collecting snapon site under early 3/8 ratchets.

thanks for the pictures and congrats on your spring replacement. i have an F7 and F70 in nice working condition. keeping both in my collection but having no intention of using either of them, i haven't taken them apart. i appreciate the pictures you've put up.
