Hi guys, I've got what looks to be a midget socket set, 9/32"'drive, around the 1940-45 era, but there are 2 sockets missing - 1/4" and 9/32". I haven't had any luck finding any around here in Australia, so here i am !!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks for your time.

Update- I think it might be a 1944 set? , the box lid has the same triangular label/markings as the one at the bottom of the "9/32 drive" page i just found on here. But.... that set doesn't appear to have a ratchet, where as my set has all the shown items (minus the 2 missing sockets!) , plus a M-70L ratchet. So, whether someone threw that in, or if my set is a different year? I just don't know

Thanks heaps snapmom, looks like everything in the box is 1942. Does anyone out there know how many sockets this set is meant to have? There are 8 here in my set, and i have just noticed on the inside of the lid that there are 8 round marks where the sockets hit the lid when it is closed, they are all pushed together with no gaps, and all to the right side of box. So thinking either this kit only came with 8, or it came with 10 but someone lost 2 very early on. All my sockets are 6 point, 3/16, 7/32, 15/64, 17/64, 5/16, 11/32, 3/8, 7/16.

So, it's looking like my set is No.58 midget set, but is missing : M-8 1/4, M-9 9/32, M-408 1/4, M410 5/16, and the M-21 std screw driver, But for some reason, there is a MI-15 15/64 and a MI-17 17/64 in there???? Everything is stamped 1942. Don't know whether to start searching a bit harder for all the missing culprits, or just put it all back in the tool cabinet, forget i ever saw it, and go check my bar fridge.

Any suggestions anybody?
