Rust on black oxide wenches.

I have a tool box I inherited from my dad, he passed 10 years ago. The box had stayed at my mom's house until she became unable to live on her own. She gave the box to me when she moved in with my brother's family a few months ago. Most the black wrenches have light spots of rust, but the 10mm, which was alone in the back corner of the drawer, seems to have caught most the moisture and had much more rust. What could I use to get a matching refinish?

Try Evapo-Rust, after you take out, clean with simple green and a med. soft brush, rinse, dry it off quickly, and apply a coat of your fav oil, may have to use 0000 steel wool here, this should work on the surface rust may on the 10

Evapo rust to get rid of the rust but it may take off some of the black so if it does then go to a gun shop and ask for some perma blue and you can put the finish back on it. At first it will look like it is making it rust more but you wipe the perma blue down with oil a few times to stop the reaction. Perma blue is done cold and is instant, I use it on impact sockets all the time and makes them look new again. It can not stop pitting from rust but it will put the finish back.
