Hey everyone it’s been a while since I posted.
Recent find are these sets. I got them from a girl selling off all her dads tools as he’s passed away.
For in the uk these are in great condition this stuff hasn’t survived so well over here so find tools in this condition is a good find.
One of the sets has tools mainly from 1934 but has a few bits 1927/8/9 in 3/8ths drive.
Again for the uk it’s hard to come across anything pre 40s.

Re: Recent find
Just normal sae which Iv already got a few times over but I’ll never say no.
How available are the 1927-29 sockets in 3/8?
Also when roughly did these style tins come out? I do think the one with the early tools is original to the tools that’s in it.

Re: Recent find
ferret sockets from the 20s and early 30s are very hard to find.
In most cases the oval sticker is mid to late 30s the triangle sticker is 40s. also if the slot for the ratchet is V shaped would be 36 or before as the rats have V shaped handles.

Re: Recent find
I seem to have the correct tins for the ratchets. I think the round handle ferret is around 1936 year mark is hard to read.
The sockets on the top row are all 1934 except the 9/16 which is 36 and the 3/16 and 1/4 are really hard to read date codes.
The double square sockets on the bottom are bother 1929 and the flat head is 1927.
