Cast Snap-on BF604 Body Hammer

Cast Snap-on BF604 Body Hammer

I recently purchased a used Snap-on BF604 Body hammer . In the process of dressing the face I noticed it is not forged but rather a cast hammer.

I own several other Snap-on body hammers and they all appear to be drop forged .

My question is, was there a period of time when Snap-on had hammers made using the drop forged process and when they were cast?

or, Is it perhaps the model BF604 ?
