meter MT-702, help!

hello all,can anyone help me?i have just been given a snap on MT-702 alternator®ulator tester.has anybody got a users manual for it or a circuit diagram for one.the leads need replaceing due to the age of them but it looks like one set of leads have a shunt built into them.
any help as i cant seam to get the amps (10/100) side of it working witch is what i mainly need it for.so perhapes the unit is only fit for the bin!
