I am an avid snap on user and collector, and I am considering beginning to acquire 9/32 dr tools, how difficult is it to obtain these items, specifically ratchet/socket sets and accessories, does anyone know of resources for purchase of these items? :D

Most of the 40s tools are fairly easy to find, there are some exceptions with the special tools, like the hex sockets. tools from the 30s get harder with the early 30s being very hard. 20s sets are hard, but not rare, there are a lot of diff. boxes from the 20s. Ebay, flea markets, are a good place to start. If you need help finding a socket or two, or just need help in the id's, there are lots of collectors here that can help you, just holler. Frank has a very good section on 9/32 drive, so its best to read it several times.

Thank you so very much for your response, I have been searching ebay, and followed several links from this site. Only scattered success with all the sockets and accessories. Should you run across nice examples you are not interested in, please keep me and this thread in mind as a quick cash buyer for most 9/32 items and boxes. I am also interested in all sizes of 1940's ratchets/sockets/ sets/and accessories.

Oh my goodness gracious! That is such an impressive sight, now I know how deep the rabbit hole goes. I hope to find some nice examples but it hasn't been easily done, have one nice ratchet only. Thanks for the amazing photo of your collection.
