1977 KRA 61d box question.

I have my late father's old toolbox and am wondering why my snapon badge os on the right side instead of the left as I have seen in the old catalogs and just about every picture I have seen of this box. It is a KRA61D with an 1977 date code. Any thoughts? Thank you.
