AM INTERESTED IN ROUGH CHRONOLOGY AND TYPES OF RATCHET COVERS USED.....ESP NOW THAT THE SEALED HEADS HAVE COME INTO BEING!

Brads (there are later scaffold rats with brads)
Fitted, no screws
Screws from the top
Screws from the bottom S80 (there was a early version of this)
Back to screws from the top. S80A

my question primarily was aimed at the top covers.....sort of looks like a freeze plug! prob did not make that clear---sorry! ref. red ones, ones w/red letters, plain ones, black ones w/letters......love those red ones! regards, SNAPdragON.

Dust Covers:
Here are some. There are prob. more. I have seen one of the early F711 rats with the model number on the dust cover.

the red covers were included with the 30 tooth ratchets and the black covers were for the 20 tooth ratchets so you could easily see the difference - the aluminum covers were earlier and the all plastic were later

There is a red all plastic cap like the black one at right side of the top row.

I believe the new repair kits come with a silver cap.
