Extensions - Flex
Here is a TM-61 flex drive. This was started in the 9/32 inch drive. It is used for tight awkward angles and not for torque. You don’t see these in larger sets (3/8 or ½) probably because it is not capable of withstanding a lot of torque

Wobble Extensions
These are modern. If you look at the tips, the machining allows for 2 positions. One allows the socket to be driven at an angle (the objective), if you press the socket further, it locks into position. The 3/8 wobble extensions I have do not have this feature.
