1940s Tool Chest
My Father returned home from the service mid 1945. He was a US Navy Metalsmith. He went to work in a auto body shop. I believe he purchase this box somewhere in the 1945-1946 time frame. I'm interested in finding the value of the box. It appears to have the original finish. It has some rust but other than that it's in good shape. Two pics are attached.

Nice box, 45-46 would be about right. These are hard to find in grey, but there is little demand. Value about 250-350.

Thanks for the estimate. Would it be worth more if I restored it?

i believe it would be worth less if you do anything to it - collectors like them much better in the original condition especially as good as yours looks in the pictures
