Toolbox found on Craigslist

Hey guys, I found this toolbox on craigslist and I can't find any information about it. I found this website and thought I would post it up and see if anyone knows anything about it. It does say "Snap On" on both lids and is also stamped "Patent 1675484". It has some surface rust but other than that, it is in perfect working condition.

They came in three different sizes. This one looks like early 40s.

Ok cool, is there anyway to know if it's rare? Or how much it's worth? If it's not really worth anything substantial I'd like to have it refurbished, at least put a new layer of paint on.

They usually sell 50-150. It is worth less if you repaint it. Clean it up and use it, it is a great box to carry around, or just store extra tools.
