Need help identifying this ratchet
I love to research old tools. I came across this ratchet at an auction. The only info I could find on it is maybe from 1925, 1/2" Drive, approximately 9 1/2" Long. Any information about this ratchet would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

These were made during the 70's and 80's. there may be a date code between the on/off where the selector switch is.

The number between the on/off is either a 6 or a partially scratched off 8. I found on this site a section on Super Service Set Version 2 a statement that led me to believe it could have possibly been from 1925. That why I posted the question I just want to make sure of what I have and what year it could possibly from. Thanks for your help.

The selector switch shows up in the early 30's. You have a nice start to your collection.

along with what snapmom has pointed out, Snap-on had not yet begun using date codes in 1925.Msnightly247 wrote:The number between the on/off is either a 6 or a partially scratched off 8.
