It's a wing nut socket, possibly an A-16. Were there any other markings?

You are right I see it in the catalog now. The date code is an eight. From what I can tell 1928 and I see it in the catalog. Very shocked it could be that old esp. when I found 2 of them. I cleaned it up in the glass bead cabinet so I hope I didn't ruin the value. What do you think it could be worth? Thanks for your help.

Beading it does hurt the value, but not much. value 20-50. They are hard to find.

Glad you found it in the catalogs; they are a great resource. I'm sure there are many here who would be interested in them, myself included. :D
