to restore or not to restore that is the question
Hi all , new to the forum , I`m sure this has been answered but just for clarification I have an old blue Snap-On box that is from the 30`s or 40`s I believe. It`s a little rusty but not not bad , Should I restore or leave it original as far as value and collectability ? I see numerous posts about how and what to use when restoring a box but I was wondering if ther is a general rule of thumb when you have a real old one. My gut says leave it as found and just clean it well. Thanks much.

It is best just to clean and lub it. But sometimes condition goes to restore, like most all the paint is gone.. If decals are still there, clean.
Post a pic. nice to see the old sets.
