I would likely trade for a Snap-On 12-Piece Shallow Swivel Impact Socket Set- 312IPL. I would still like to know what these are before trading.

That is a huge stretch there, that wobble set is $840. I have other things to trade if you want to message me with your number?

Maybe a "huge stretch" if these were common. But, seems that no one knows what they are, rarity might mean 312IPL $630-750 on Ebay, is to cheap a price...
Maybe they were used on the "Manhattan Project," or, to fasten ram-jam nuts on WWII bombs. LOL

the box is grey - that means early to mid 1940's (earlier boxes were black).

the N prefix on one of the sockets likely means military
