50th Anniversary (1970) KRS-530/KRS-558 set with gold paint
I just acquired this set off of Facebook Marketplace. I've been a collector of older Snap On boxes for some time but this was the first time I've come across the gold edition from the 50th anniversary. I am currently working on the slides and have since gotten keys made for it. It appears that the side handle is not original. I tried to research these boxes online and have found VERY LITTLE about them accept for a couple examples offered for sale over the years. It appears that these boxes are fairly rare and sought after. Anyone with information about these boxes please share. Thanks.

Although I don't own the same boxes, I have a similar set of boxes with the correct (original to boxes) side handle from the same era.
