1970 "Gold" socket set

Post by bob55 »

My friend has a 3/8" drive socket set which I believe is from 1970(F710D ratchet). It is in a gold metal case which I have not seen before. Can anyone tell me more about this type of set? Thanks Bob

I think it was a a set given to sales people for outstanding sales ability. They were not available to the general public. They are worth more, but how much is a function of the buyer

Thanks

these sets were awards for dealers and the Gold was in celebration of Snap-on's 50th Anniversary
there are several different items in gold or in the case of screwdrivers clear handles with gold flecks inside
