Hi new guy with torque wrench question

Post by My427stang »

Hi, neat site expect to see a bit more of me because unfortunately I am going through a combined 90 years of tools. My dad and I started our shops years ago, I ended up going to the Air Force, he continued his shop. In 2010 he passed, and between the both of us we have a lot of stuff

As hard as it is, I have ridiculously more than any 5 people would need, so I am slowly going through it.

One piece I found that I did not remember was a Torqometer TQ-12A, pictures below. Seems to work fine but I did not have the calibration checked.

Anyone know how old it is? Seems older than a lot of the stuff we have.

Thanks in advance

It was listed in the catalogs from 1942 - 1950

I do not know of any date stamps on these, so I don't know how much more accurate one could be.

Nice tool
