Scored these off craigslist for 170. I don't need the top but wanted the mid section to match another top I already had. Buddy and I split the pair. Judging from the seemingly unique feature of 2 upper drawers on the outsides with 3 slightly smaller ones in the middle I believe the top is a KRA-58. The mid unit is possibly a KRA-429. I now understand why the seller couldn't produce the model #s or dates. There are stickers over them! First project will be to remove most or all of them.
One question does anyone know if the top drawer on my mid section is supposed to be spring loaded?
I have what looks like the same box I bought at a show its a very very good condition top mid and bottom the mid one only has 2 draws its a 1981 stamped on the back in not sure what model would mine be? will upload pics as soon as I can I could never find them on the catalogs though.
Got all the stickers off except the two vintage snap on stickers on the back. Decided to leave those. Cleaned all the goo off and gave it a quick wax to get rid of the last of the residue. Got it installed with its slightly older big brother. I still need to reinstall the snap on plate after getting some new clips for the studs and the lock needs some help. Anyone got a shot of what its supposed to look like???
Top box in first post is deffo a KRA58 circa '78 or '79, it is identical to my first ever box, bought new in 1979 and which I still have. Mine would be in perfect condition if the *** plastic handles of several tools of that age hadn't oozed plasticizer onto the paint - the gunk is a really good paint stripper (beware, anyone with plastic hard handles from the 70s/80s)!
Top box in later post looks to me like a KRA59 of about the same age, and in very nice condition!

Yes I picked that one up at the estate sale for one of Dads lifelong friends so its not going anywhere. Its a 76 and you are right its in very good shape. There is a mystery spot of gunk on the front cover that I am going to try and remove today.
