New Guy w/119-TM-B to finish

Post by Drake9 »

Like the title says I am new here and new to collecting SO tools. A good buddy of mine gave me a 119-TM-B set that is almost complete. Found this site when looking for information and hope to learn a lot from you all.

It is missing a few item
TM-14 7/16
TM-16 1/2
GM-70-M ratchet
TM-2 extension
TM-60 6" extension
TMU-8 universal
TM-10-D

The biggest thing is all of the pieces are made in Canada except the TM-4. Everything is also from 53-56 but cant find a date code on the TM-4. I guess my question for you guys is do you think this set would have been all made in Canada when it was new? I am going to try and put this back to as close to complete as it was new. Hopefully be able to get all the pieces the same year too at some point. Any info would be great thanks guys, here is a couple pictures.

Canada started making tools in about 1945. Not sure when they were stamped "Canada". This is going to be a hard set to finish with just Canada, will take you some time, but heck I have some sets I have been trying to finish for quite a few years too.
