Came in a 9/32 set from about 28-31

Awsome find! Was there some reason to question the guarantee at that time?

it sort of opens more questions. This came in a 9/32 set, one piece had a 28 code. Snap on became Inc. in about 31. so the date 28-31 would be about right.
the cats say one year guarantee, but this has no mention of the one year. I think these inserts may have been put in all the sets, but not sure, as this is the only one I have ever seen. Its like there was a rumor about the Guarantee and they were making a statement as to saying the rumor was just that.

Catalog statement of guarantee changes. '32 speaks to worn out tools not being guaranteed. '31 the one year is dropped.

I looked at the guarantee question, from a different direction. Perhaps, S/O was using the guarantee as a marketing tool, along with their up-front pricing & one - on - one customer service. When the off - brand competition matched the guarantee, S/O went to lifetime. '29 catalog "net pricing " seems to be in response to competition.
