auction finds...need some help
First let me say hello to everyone on the site as this is my first post. I came across a couple wrenches and a extension at a farm auction recently and have a few questions. One of the wrenches is a snap-on 71-15 1/2" ratchet and the other is a snap-on ferret f-70n 3/8" ratchet. The extension is a snap-on s20 1/2". The only info I have found is that they are from either the 30's or 40's. All are in pretty good shape and they all have a "J" punched into them which I'm sure was the owners initials. I am wondering what, if any info anyone has on them or what they may be worth. I originally bought just to have a few spare wrenches laying around until I saw the dates they were made and made me think someone may get more out of it for collecting than laying in my toolbox. Any information would be great. Thanks Erik

Well - Happy to have you here!!! Welcome
The two ratchets are common enough - the F-70 and the 71-15 are both great ratchets. Condition is everything, If they are is great condition, $50-75. Normal, $35. The extension in 20 inches long, it may be from a number of time periods, but if it is from the 1940s - $15 -20
Pictures will get you more and better opinions.
I think you can still use these. They are used anyway, and the value is not less because you use them

Thanks for the info. I bought them cheap enough as a couple spare wrenches to have.
