Painted, not stamped logo and part number

i have several snap on and blue point tools from this decade that don't have the brand stamped into it. They're either painted onto the metal or onto the rubber grip. I don't like it, i would much rather see it embossed/stamped into the tool itself. Has anybody ever run into warranty issues because the logo and part number wore off the tool?

i once had a problem with warranty on min snap-on pliers which have no logo or id. salesmean turned them in and s the factory ided them.

I have ran into that in the past where they did not want to warranty them so now I just don't buy things like that. And what I do buy I make sure it does have a lifetime warranty, not everything is warranted anyway.

That happened with the old hard plastic screwdriver handles as well. The ink or paint or whatever they used would wear off and sometimes even the indentations from the printing wore down (I have a Par-V screwdriver that is almost unreadable). Never been an issue though for the dealers. The chrome tools aren't painted they are a type of chemical or laser etching and it will scratch or wear off and that can be more problematic. Since most of the Blue Point tools that wear this etching are Chinese/Taiwanese and are sold under many different brand names there's no real way to identify it once the marks are gone. I have the attitude if I want Chinese/Taiwanese I just buy it at Harbor Freight and won't pay the premium. To me all Chinese/Taiwanese stuff is pretty much the same.

as far as the screwdrivers I thought all of the blades had the S stamped on it so that should be enuf to get the blade warranted?
