Historical info on this toolbox, please?

Good morning. By way of quick intro, I collect tools but only as functioning parts of my workshop waking and maintaining old sportscars and racers. Since the modern stuff is often rubbish and just feels bad to the hand, my shop arsenal is assiduously domestic made, bought at jumble sales and fleas and farm sales mostly. It then gets used; good vintage tools on good vintage cars.

That said, this toolbox that found its way into my workshop. Given the tools in it and what I've learnt so-far, it has some age to it I believe, so perhaps folks here could help determine an approximate age. It has been repainted, probably more than once, but the sides of the draws and inside the top would appear to be original baked finish in red. From then on, here are some photos in two postings of the box, logo style, and some details like handles and the like.

Continuing on, and adding a piece of info I forgot to add in the first post, there appears to be no serial number or stylised characters on the back, outside back at least.

Why, thank you!

That rather makes sense given the couple various tools that were in it; an Army Air Force inspection light with a 1943 contract date and a number of aircraft tools such as bird feet wrenches, single piece box wrenches for working down deep within ports, and a couple speed wrenches.

I haven't taken any yet other than the inspection light (for a friend of mine). I haven't seen anything that says "Snap-on" in the array, but haven't had a chance to really inspect them all. Once I get back out to the workshop, I'll take a few if you are interested given they probably are of just about anyone's manufacture, not specifically Snap-on near as I could tell at first blush.
